Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 21, 2026

Please read these terms carefully. They explain the rules for using MakerTrax, how billing works, and what we each agree to.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and MakerTrax (“MakerTrax,” “we,” or “us”). They cover your use of the MakerTrax website (makertrax.app) and the MakerTrax order-management application (app.makertrax.app), together called the “Service.”

By creating an account, starting a free trial, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are signing up on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that business, and “you” means the business.

2. What MakerTrax is

MakerTrax is a subscription software tool for small custom-order shops. It helps staff record orders, track them through stages (new, quoted, in progress, ready for pickup), print work tickets, manage customer records, and send order notifications by email and, if you connect your own Twilio account, by text message.

MakerTrax is a staff-side business tool. It is not a marketplace and we are not a party to any transaction between you and your customers.

3. Accounts and staff users

You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including the actions of the staff members you invite. Keep your login credentials private, and tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Free trial, billing, and renewal

New accounts start with a 7-day free trial. A payment card is required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your card will be charged for the plan you selected when the trial ends, and the subscription will renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.

Plans are billed either monthly ($14.99 per month) or annually ($149 per year), in U.S. dollars, plus any taxes that apply. Prices may change; if they do, we will give you advance notice and the new price will apply from your next renewal.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your account's billing settings, which open Stripe's secure customer portal. If you cancel during the free trial, you will not be charged. If you cancel after that, your cancellation stops future renewals. Our Refund Policy explains what happens to amounts already paid.

6. Your data

You keep ownership of the information you and your staff put into the Service, including your customer records, orders, photos, and messages (“Your Data”). You give us permission to store, process, and display Your Data only as needed to run the Service for you, to keep it secure, and to meet legal obligations. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having the right to enter your customers' information into the Service and for keeping it accurate.

7. Email and text messages

The Service can send notification emails to your customers, such as a message that an order is ready for pickup. If you connect your own Twilio account, it can also send text messages through that account.

You are responsible for the messages you send. That includes getting any consent your customers must give, honoring opt-out requests, and complying with laws that apply to messaging, such as the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and carrier rules. Twilio charges you directly for the usage on your own Twilio account; MakerTrax does not add a fee for texting.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful;
  • send spam or messages to people who have not agreed to receive them;
  • upload malicious code or try to disrupt, probe, or break into the Service or other users' accounts;
  • resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, except as the law allows;
  • use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated tools (including AI-based tools) to access, copy, scrape, mine, or reproduce this website, the Service, or any of their content, design, layout, or code, including for the purpose of building or training a competing product;
  • use the Service in a way that could harm our infrastructure or other customers.

9. Our property

The Service, including its software, design, and the MakerTrax name and logo, belongs to MakerTrax and its licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your subscription is active. You may not use the MakerTrax name or logo without our written permission.

Except as this license allows, you may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or otherwise reproduce this website, the Service, or their content, design, or code, in whole or in part, whether by hand or with automated tools, including for the purpose of building a competing product.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and dependable, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, add, or remove features over time. If we make a change that materially reduces what your paid plan includes, we will let you know.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MakerTrax will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if your payment fails and is not resolved, or if we reasonably believe your use puts the Service or other users at risk. If your account ends, you can ask us to export or delete Your Data as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you agree to their jurisdiction.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
