1. Who we are

MakerTrax provides an order-management service for small custom-order shops. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the MakerTrax website (makertrax.app) and the MakerTrax application (app.makertrax.app).

2. Information we collect

We collect information in three situations:

• From visitors to our website: if you fill in our “Get in touch” form, we receive your email address and use it to reply to you. Like most sites, our hosting also records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
• From shops that sign up: your name, email address, phone number, company name, business address, logo and branding, the staff accounts you create, and your subscription status. Payment card details are entered directly with Stripe. We do not see or store full card numbers.
• From shops' customers, through the shop: when a shop uses MakerTrax, it enters information about its own customers, such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, order details, uploaded photos or artwork, and message history. The shop decides what to enter.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• provide, maintain, and secure the Service, including sending the notification emails and texts a shop asks the Service to send;
• create and manage accounts, process subscriptions, and provide support;
• respond to questions and requests;
• improve the Service and fix problems;
• meet legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.

4. Shops' customer information

When a shop enters its customers' information into MakerTrax, we hold that information on the shop's behalf and use it only to run the Service for that shop. The shop is responsible for how it uses that information and for telling its customers about it. If you are a customer of a shop that uses MakerTrax and you have questions about your information, please contact that shop first. We will help the shop respond to your request.

5. Service providers we work with

We share information only with companies that help us run the Service, and only as needed for that purpose:

• Stripe processes subscription payments.
• Resend delivers the notification emails sent through the Service.
• Twilio delivers text messages, using the shop's own Twilio account if the shop connects one.
• Base44 provides the hosting and infrastructure the Service runs on.

6. What we do not do

We do not sell personal information. We do not use shops' customer information for advertising, and we do not send marketing messages to shops' customers. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use only the cookies and browser storage needed to sign you in, keep your session secure, and make the Service work.

8. How long we keep information

We keep a shop's information while its account is active. If a shop cancels, it can ask us to delete its data, and we will do so within a reasonable time unless we are required to keep certain records, such as billing records, for legal or tax reasons.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@makertrax.app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. We will respond within a reasonable time.

11. Children

MakerTrax is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or in the app.
